Nate’s Spicy Lamb & Prawn Noodles Recipe

print
Today I wanted to do something quick and easy so I could enjoy the last of our limited sunshine here in the UK. So I decided to do a stir fry as they’re always tasty and quick. Today i’m doing a noodle stir fry using egg noodles, but note this is a spicy dish so if you’re not keen on the heat I wouldn’t make this one, but it’s not so hot that your ears will be steaming so don’t worry about that, but there is certainly a kick!

So let’s get to it, what ingredients will you need?
Egg noodles (amount depends on appetite and amount of people, I used 200g of dried egg noodles for me.)
1 lamb leg steak per person
A few cooked prawns per person
1 jalapeño chilli
1 red chilli
10 table spoons of soy sauce
2 table spoons of cumin ground
2 tea spoons of paprika
A couple of shakes of cumin seeds
A few shakes of mild chilli powder
A few shakes of ground ginger
A few shake of ground coriander
1/3 cup of milk
Cooking oil

What do I need to do?

Firstly slice the lamb steak and cover in the ground cumin.

Lob those and the cooked prawns into a small pool of oil in a wok, and whack up the heat to high for now.

Now lets get those egg noodles cooking (assuming you got dry egg noodles like me), place the noodles in water in a saucepan and keep at a medium-high heat.

Once the lamb is mostly brown, and the noodle balls have separated, lets chop of the chilli and jalapeño and add those and the soy sauce to the meat and prawns.

Now let’s add the chilli powder, paprika and cumin seeds.

Now let’s add the ground coriander, ground ginger and the milk.

Mix well, then add the noodles and mix well again and keep stirring and cooking for another 2-3 minutes.

And that’s it we’re ready to serve!

Yum
