Ingredients

Base

  • 200 grams flour
  • 1 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • 200 ml water

Sauce

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp english mustard
  • 3 tbsps brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

Toppings

  • 1 rasher bacon
  • several cocktail sausages
  • 2 sliced chicken breasts
  • olive oil for drizzling
  • 1 ball mozzarella
  • 4 basil leaves

Instructions

  1. We want to start with the base because we will want the dough to rise/prove. Start by putting the flour, salt and active dry yeast in a mixing bowl, then create a small well in the centre. Then put the olive oil in the centre of the well.

  2. Next put in the water, and mix with a wooden spoon until you have a sticky small of dough, then flour a surface and transfer the dough to the surface.

  3. Then need for 5 minutes, putting flour on any particularly sticky parts.

  4. Next transfer the dough ball back to a bowl and leave for at least 2 hours to rise, place a tea towel of muslin on top of the bowl.

  5. Now we want to cook up our toppings, these don't need to be fully cooked, we just want them cooked enough so we can easily cut them up, we're going to cook it now to give it chance to cool down (so it's easier to cut) while the dough is rising.

  6. Start by adding the cocktail sausages and chicken to the pan as these will need to be cooked for longer, once the chicken is whitening on most sides then add the rasher of bacon.

  7. Making the sauce is really simple, all you need to do is add the ingredients to a saucepan and stir while cooking on a medium heat until the sugar is melted and the sauce is well mixed.

  8. Now your meats should be called, it's time to shop them bad boys up, i'm just using kitchen scissors as it's the quickest and easiest way.

  9. Next up re-flour your dough as it will likely be sticky after it's risen, then add oil to you pizza tin and rub it all over, then put your dough on the tin and stretch it out evenly across the whole tin.

  10. Then even spread the sauce across the centre of the pizza.

  11. Then drizzle some olive oil on top of that. Next sprinkle a small amount of grated cheddar, then it's time to create your masterpiece, put the basil leaves, mozzarella, sausage, bacon and chicken on the pizza.

  12. Place in oven at 200 degrees for 12 minutes

  13. Serve and eat!!
